Twitter: certified accounts could become paying, up to 20 euros per month
With the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, it will be necessary to pay to keep the badge certified.
You will have to pay to be certified on Twitter
Now at the head of Twitter, Elon Musk has decided to start by making changes to the account verification process on the social network. “ The whole verification process is being overhauled right now,” said the Tesla boss on Sunday.
According to The Verge , it would now be necessary to have the premium Twitter Blue subscription to obtain the badge certified on its Twitter account. And with this new feature integrated into the paid service, Twitter Blue should see its price increase from $4.99 to $19.99 per month.
Other information: employees working on this project would have until November 7 to deploy the new subscription. Without respecting this deadline, Elon Musk indicated that the employees concerned would be dismissed.
Certified accounts will have 3 months to subscribe to Twitter Blue
As soon as the new Twitter Blue offer is deployed, accounts that are already certified will have a maximum of 90 days to take out a subscription. After this time, the certified tick will disappear from the profile.
However, it should be noted that Twitter Blue is only available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. What about certified accounts located in other countries, such as France for example? Is this a sign that Twitter Blue will soon be available worldwide? Everything remains to be seen!
