Concretely, Internet users who are victims of this bug should see the following notice appear: “we suspended your account on October 31, 2022” . And it seems that this bug is international, given the many tweets published in all languages.

For profiles that have not been suspended, they could see a significant loss of followers, corresponding to the number of suspended accounts that were part of their followers.

What to do if your Instagram account is suspended?

First, don't panic. If you haven't broken Instagram's rules, there's little risk of your account being suspended indefinitely.

On the other hand, it seems useless to start a complaint procedure (via the mention “contest this decision” which appears during the warning message), since the suspension of your account is linked to an internal bug at Instagram.
